Education, Learning, and Academic Growth
Founding Widener
Charlie Jamieson
On a trip to Japan after finishing high school, I realised how unique some of Australia's secondary and tertiary institutions were, and when I talked to international students at university, the agreed.

I decided to offer the experience of Australia's best educational institutions to students from around the world. Our first tour was for high school students, but Widener has since grown to include tours for university and graduate school students, and our first tour beyond Australia to Paris in France.

Widener's name is inspired by the famous library at Harvard that I had a chance to visit and tour in 2021. The students collaborating there were from everywhere in the world. I wanted to replicate that with student tours to increase cultural and educational understanding in our globalised world.

Widener's Story
Widener has assembled a team of subject matter experts to facilitate expansive and unique tours for students seeking to learn more about Australia. Our experts have traveled extensively and lived abroad in Asia, Europe, and North America, so we understand the cities in which we conduct tours, and we understand the needs and requirements of our tour participants to create unique and exclusive tours.
